Macbook Pro / Mac Pro

Hi All,
As you can see I am new here (technically) however I have been watching my piston heads addicted father posting on here for some time and he has suggested you might be able to help me make a decision as to whether I should get a Macbook Pro (The Laptop one) or just a Normal Mac Pro (The Tower).
I am looking for something to play the odd game on but also use as my main machine for web browsing etc (I intend on buying a dock if I were to get the pro).
I was just looking to find out if any of you have experience with games on the macbook pro, how they run the sort of temperatures they get to etc. I am not looking for "epic" graphics, just something that does the job.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The New MacBook Pro has just come out so worth looking for reviews as people start to get theirs.
They have a few different graphics card configurations and different processors.
1gb HD6750m graphics and quad core i7 processor is probably pretty quick.

From what I've seen, the new Macbook Pro laptops are fast. Geekbench benchmark ratings put the new 13" i5 on par with the previous 17" i7 and the new 17" i7 quad cores are faster than the current quad core Mac Pro.
It depends on budget though, the Macbook Pro list price tops out where the Mac Pro begins (just over £2k). From what you've said, I think a Macbook Pro would be fine, a Mac Pro would be total overkill unless you want to keep it long term and upgrade it.
