MW2 totally ruined by hackers!

Got back into playing mw2 after a few months on black ops, the hacking on it is getting out of hand... retards flying around, invincible, unlimited ammo etc, i really cant see the point of doing it, theres no challenge to it whatsoever! also its affecting the game as a whole with dumbass neon banners scrolling across the screen and the messing of personal stats! i had all the weapon add ons i d unlocked locked again, my killstreaks changed and my clan tag altered!? sony really should sort it out.

I take it this is on the pc, try it on the 360/PS3...though there not exactly with out their faults either.

Xbox didn't seem too bad the other day. I had a bit of a session while taking a break from TDU2. But the players that are left are really, really good now - most of the time anyhow.

The PC was terrible at this almost from the start.

The PS3 got bad very recently.

The X360 seems completely unaffected, nearly no reports of any cheaters on MW2 so far.

How could it be? Is it because the PS3 got "rooted" very recently?

The Xbox has had hackers on MW2 for a while but the recent bout of hackers on MW2 is due to the new PS3 hack as stated above.

Infinity Ward are supposeed to be releasing a new patch that will stop most of the hacked lobbys.

Thats where that will fail. I gave up with infinity ward after they failed to ever sort out any of the issues with MW on the PS3, they made lots of promises but never came through.

MW2 is pretty old now so there's not much incentive for them to patch it. IW will be spending all their time working on MW3.

MW2 may be getting old but there's still alot of people that still play it, so there incentive will be to keep them people happy so they will go on to get MW3.

The new patch what I am on about is what FourZeroTwo stated a few weeks ago. But surely it can't take too long to release a small patch.

The whole security key for the console has been hacked though, Sony put out a patch recently to ban the hackers, within a very short space of time, the hackers had hacked that, unbanned themselves and gained the ability to ban other users.

I'm sorry but LOL! You have to admire the tenacity of them.... New patch released, hackers get global bans, so they hack the patch to unban themselves!!

They do make online gaming a misery though. I am glad BFBC2 isnt too affected. Punkbuster seems to be very effective at keeping them at bay
