Only downloaded 50% so far.

If that is real gameplay footage then it's the most amazing game ever made. The soldiers movements and actions are perfect, the graphics are perfect. Unbelievable.

This will require some upgrading to play it, and I thought my PC specs were near top end.

Consoles needn't apply.

Watched this last night after being sent it by a friend of mine. Looks stunning.

And it'll be just as good on a console as it will on the PC.

it's won't be even close, not till th ePS4 or Xbox 720 come out.

I have BF2BC2 on xbox Elite and it is nowhere near as good as my PC graphics wise. PS3 and xbox are using 3-5 year old graphics technology.

It's sad but I LOVE the fact that if you reload mid-magazine it remembers there's a bullet in the chamber. Nobody remembers that little detail, it reminds me of the old Delta Force games.

Knew you'd bite. This has been done soooooooooooooooooooooo many times before, particularly with regards to PS3 vs Xbox. To compare PC and Xbox is ridiculous. Graphically, it is very VERY obvious that the PC will have it over a console.

My point was more the enjoyment and satisfaction of the game, particularly by the looks of the actions, and yet still, graphically, HD games on consoles are very impressive. The thread is making reference to the gameplay trailer.

Buggerit, you can have your hook back.

It is high time that the consoles were brought up to spec though. It is not good for PC gamers that developers still have to make allowances for the xbox360 that has 5 year old technology.

I hope the have head view perspective as part of the game. Then I can use my Track IR system. It was mooted in a blog that the developers were very interested in the Track IR setup.

It'll never be completely possible, unless they make it possible for owners to manually 'upgrade' their consoles with higher spec graphics capability, memory and processors. I for one don't bite every time Microsoft release a slightly better or updated version of the Xbox as the one I have serves its purpose and does just fine.

If manufacturers were to start doing this though, then the whole point of a pick up and play console is redundant, as users may as well go and buy a mid-range PC and then upgrade it to their own specification. My PC is mid-range with upgraded graphics and RAM, purely to support a couple of games, namely Eve, at a comfortable rate. I wouldn't want my console to do the same, as it does exactly what I want. At any point I can pick up the controller, jump straight into a game and communicate with my friends, playing games that are engaging and don't require me to spend another few hundred quid on more RAM or a better GeForce card.

You're right in what you're saying, but they'll never serve the same purpose as a console for those reasons. I favour both and use them for completely different purposes. smile

Ahhh I see what you are saying! PC is for real hardcore gamers and consoles are a glorified Facebook?

wink

I see what you are saying though. It is nice to buy a console and know that you can run any future releases without extra expenditure.

I am a nerd though and enjoy tinkering with my computer as a 'hobby' almost. I've just got a new graphics card at a cost of £160 but i know it will last at least 3 years. Theres so much choice of components though and you dont need to spend a fortune. My card is perfect for gaming - 50 - 70fps on BFBC2 everything maxxed @ 1080p on a 32" monitor but if i was so inclined i could have spend £300 to £500 quite easily on JUST a graphics card!

I guess its like buing a car. Some buy a new one use it for a few years throw it away and get the new model (consoles).

Others buy a car and modify it / buy bits to keep it running smoothly (PC)

At the end of the day theres no right or wrong way, its what you want to do!
