Rock Band & Guitar Hero instruments - Compatible?

Hi guys,

Are all the instruments available for the various Rock Band / Guitar Hero games all compatible with each other? I've only ever played GH3, and my guitar is a bit nackered now.. Fancy getting a new complete bundle with all the instruments & then will just have to buy the games seperately, but wanted to make sure it's all compatible? Seen a nice GH6+ instrument bundle, but know they've stopped making GH, so don't want to limit myself to only that franchise.

They should all work with each other without any problems.

I still use a GH3 guitar occasionally with all the Rock Bands and it has no trouble at all.

Cool thanks Itch! There's so many bundles about, i'm finding it hard to choose which to buy....

Only compatible on the 360, not on the PS3 if memory serves.
