So I saw a trailer for this on the internet and realised it's out this week. Seems to have totally slipped under the radar and yet reviews so far have been nothing but positive. I can't believe a game of this calibre seems to have arrived with zero notice or hype. Has anyone played it yet or planning on getting it?

Hmm they gave it a 7 which isn't a bad score in my book and most other reviews seem to have given it a 8 or 9. I'm just looking for the next fps to sink my teeth into. Killzone 3 is pretty good but the campaign is very short and the multiplayer while fun won't have the longevity of something like Bad Company 2 as it's pretty basic. Just wish Battlefield 3 would hurry up and get here.

Apologies, had a quick look on the first couple of pages and didn't see a topic. I think I might give this a bash when I am bored of Killzone 3. Story looks interesting and I want to try the multiplayer which is where a games longevity is for me.

Bit off topic, but they got fined massivly for that incident so in reality they are now one of the safest places to buy from as they were forced to strengthen their security!Original Poster said:

On the positive side, multiplayer is very battlefield - ish. so he said it was very good and well worth purchase price.
apparently you earn battle credits which you buy to use on things like UAV's/vehicles etc.
There is a game mode that is anti camp mode, basically after a 2 kill streak it alerts the opponents to your position. sounds interesting!

First off, its nowhere near finely tuned as cod or battlefield. The graphics are ok but not brilliant and also the game mechanics compared to most new FPS kind of feel dated.
Few things that have bugged me so far are that snipers are more like an acog scope, no scope movement, no variable zoom and no bullet drop when shooting. Also you can be trying to shoot somebody thats behind something, with part of them exposed and it just won't hit them, also there is absolutely no bullet penetration through any object, even thin wood! :S
The different game mechanics are fun with your drones and earning your own vehicles etc. But its nowhere near on par with pretty much any current FPS.
Buy it and play it with an open mind!
