Turtle Beach X11 problems

Hi

I have an Xbox 360 arcade.

I am using a Razer Onza Tournament Edition controller with Turtle Beach X11 headset.

The problem I am having happens in game chat or party chat.

Whenever you fire or through a grenade on a shooting game you got a hissing sound which I can hear and other players can hear. I have tried two X11 and two different controllers and this happens all the time.

Any advice on how to solve this?

If you're getting game sound bleed into your microphone, and assuming it's not a design flaw in the headset and controller, your volume is too high?
Turtle Beach headsets use an amp that isn't amazing quality, and it does hiss, even when there's no sound coming from the game, You may have to deal with it, or go for a different headset.

Turned out to be the VGA cable connecting Xbox - Pc screen was the problem

Hi guys

I am still getting the same problem with my new VGA cable.

I can use the original Xbox controller running on batteries and no noise. Then as soon as I put the original Xbox controller in to charge or power the controller I get the same noise.

Some of my friends think it is because I have a very old arcade Xbox. They reckon if I get the new one it will be a lot better because it is more economical and they think this will fix my problem.

What do people think?

Does that mean you are trying to charge or run the controller from external source while playing? If so would suggest the charging had created a field, similar to having other electronics near to speakers.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't the headset. Turtle beach aren't famed for their quality.

Yer the razer onza only can be powered from USB.

I originally bought a second set of turtle beach X11 as I thought it was that to begin with but still the same.

It's definately a wired controller problem as I used to use the Call of Duty Black Ops pad when I was playing online with a few PHers and they would all moan at me, but when I bought the new silver controller the hissing noise stopped. Gutted because I really liked that controller

+1 A mate of mine had the same problem with his. Think he sorted it by keeping the turtle beach cables away from the controller's (except for the 2.5mm jack going into it). If you are using a front usb port for your controller, use a rear for the turtle beach. It worked for him.

I have found that when I try my xbox with the same setup on TV no noise.

The only other problem I have is that my rear USB port it used for my wireless adaptor.

Have you got a laptop you could use? If so plug the USB cable for the turtle beaches into that for power and leave everything else plugged into the xbox. Its worth trying just to rule it out.

Hey

I plugged my turtle beaches into laptop. Keeps the wires apart and still getting the buzzing noise. I will try again on TV 2moz when I get access to one.

Any ideas on what I should try?
