Photo toching up - bit of help

Afternoon all,

I have taken a photo that quite frankly, is crap. It was rushed (as in camera out, taken, camera away) and I have no time to re do the photo. It's to go up in a local Rugby Club but I don't really want such a rubbish photo displayed. The people in question say it's acceptable but I would rather touch it up if possible.

I have no idea how to go about doing this, I have Gimp on my laptop but as software goes that's about it (although I never use it).

I have attached the photo to see what people think I should do and if anyone wants to take a crack at this themselves, they're more welcome (internet beer tokens await!).

It's blurry, under exposed and not proportioned very well.

You would get more exsposure if you posted this in the lounge section, some great photoshoppers in there.

I knew all about the Photoshopping in the lounge. What with Wheelie Girl and what not. I thought that this forum would be different. Not that I mind, shop away if you like. Some could go down a treat at the Club.

It's too far gone to sharpen at that size but the colours are easy enough. A quick going-over with Adobe Turdpolisher:
