Setting up your monitor?
Discussion
I have found that the only way to really ensure you have it all set up correctly is to use a hardware calibrator, like this one. Probably not worth it though unless you have a pretty decent monitor and are keen to get the last bit of benefit. I always thought there would be a big market for renting out these calibrators for say £20 a week. Better than paying £200 to buy one when you only need to use it once a year or so.

I thought the same myself. how about you buy a spyder and i'll rent it for a week to set up my tft a little more accurately.
I really need to get a proper icm profile for my screen and then set up the printer to match the onscreen pic.
at the mo, my 960 prints a darker image and I need to set the levels to a far brighter level durng processsing to compensate.
Do we have a PH'er whos a print profile master in photoshop, every attempt I make seems to alter little, especialy at the print preview stage.

Got your mail m8.
Thanks for the offer, let me know your terms and we'll discuss further.
Sounds like a cool offer........as your a photographer, are you sure you want to be sending such a valuable piece of equipment across country as i'm in the north west.
if you could mail with your terms, we'll go further.
I need to sort something because my prints are much darker than both on screen and how I remember the scene.
