Opticlear lens wipes

I picked some of these up in Tesco the other day but wanted to check on here weather they are going to ruin my lens coating or not.
On the packet it states:
"For spectacles, cameras and optical devices. Quick drying and smear free.
Blow dust from the lens surface. Gently rub surface to remove grease and dirt. No need to dry.
Do not use on contact lenses."

The lens is a Canon 70-200 F4L

If they are no good I'll use them on my glasses instead.

I've used them (spares from wearing specs) and they left a smear on the lens coating. Rubbed off with a tshirt (which I could/should have used to begin with)

I use them on my glasses, but wouldn't dream of using them on my lenses (not even on the uv filters which live on them for protection).

Right! Glasses it is then. What kind of lens wipes are worth buying?
Are there any particular brands?

Have a look at Pec Pads if you want to throw money at something. I've never bothered with anything clever or fancy though after feeling like a tit buying a £12 cloth once

I got some from eBay, nothing even worth having a name, but together with a rocket blower they do the job very well.

I use Swarovski for my binos, telescope and lenses. Badge? Probably. Expensive? You bet. Good? Definitely.
