It's made by polaroid, so not some small time outfit....
Blurb:
1- Wireless Flash Remote With Full TTL Functionability
2- Wireless Shutter Release With Both Full And ½ Press Shutter Functions (auto focus, sleep mode, metering, burst mode etc)
3- Wireless Studio Strobe Trigger Controls Both Slave & Primary Lighting
Regardless if you choose our standard remote or three way camera flash remote, you'll be getting the benefit of expanded shooting options that will take your creativity to a whole new level. Our 3 way digital RF Camera/Flash Remote provides TTL flash control from up to 300 feet away as well as conventional camera remote functionality, remote (non TTL) /studio flash triggering and the ability to trigger up to 16 flash units simultaneously. In short, it's all the remote you need no matter the remote you need.
Our standard camera remote uses highly responsive IR technology to provide true control of your cameras shutter release and timer functions , so it's great for making sure you get in the picture-as well as situations where you'd prefer to get the picture without getting near the picture!
On or off camera, up close or up to 300 feet away, picture perfect results start when you put Polaroid in the picture.
Too good to be true? I've put an order in and it should arrive in the first week of July. I'll post my results if no one else has any experience of it.

Would you actually use TTL with wireless flashes?
Maybe it's just me, but I find it f
king useless most of the time. It always seems to want to force long exposures on me, which is pretty bloody daft when not needing long exposures is the reason I'm using a flash in the first place!
Even with the flash on the body, I generally shoot with both the camera and flash in manual.

Um your shooting in apoerture mode or something? Sounds like your not understanding how ettl works?Maybe it's just me, but I find it f

YOU should be controlling the shutter speed , in manual mode, and this directly affects only the ambient light.
FEC , ratios and ettl (plus ISO and aperture) will affect the flash exposure.
TTL flash is great when conditions are changing and/or you dont have time to setup the lights manualy.

You may well be right that I'm doing it wrong! I always seemed to have the camera trying to expose the background and sitting there with absurdly long exposures.YOU should be controlling the shutter speed , in manual mode, and this directly affects only the ambient light.

They say our standard remote uses IR technology but also talk about RF, I wonder which it is? Good price if it works, and Polaroid are/were a quality brand IMO.
I think they are comparing the RF product with their 'Standard' product which seems to be IR.That said I can't find either on the Polaroid Web site. However they can be found on the B&H store site which adds some credibility presumably.
Presumably they are rebranded from one of the Chinese suppliers and hopefully subject to 'Well knon brand name' quality control and after sales cover should it be required.
I'm looking forward to hearing about how they perform.
ETA: They do look very similar to these.
