Nikon d300, GPS -GPS receivers

Decided i "need one" ;-)

Anyway have heard mixed review about the Nikon solution and slightly more favourable reviews of the red-door option (link below). If anybody could provide a personal perspective or have come across any through comparative reviews it would be appreciated.
