July 2011 Photography Competition - Golden Hour - Discussion

The theme this month is Golden Hour.

I know it's a bit of a photography cliche but I love first and last light and the potential it has. I will be very lenient on subject matter; it can be portrait, landscape, action etc., as long as it is visibly in said golden hour.

I'm guessing that 90% of my photos are taken before most 'non tog' people are awake. IMHO The light is so much nicer first thing. (I was up at 04:30 this morning with dogs and cameras)

This could only be first light....

hmm - i have a couple of shots i could enter this month. One however was taken as the sun was setting as opposed to rising. I'm assuming that is technically not the "golden hour" ?

If I ever win this competition again I'm going to set the theme to gravel or porridge; something really boring. I have no idea how I'm going to choose a top 3 at the moment.
