Show me your 17-40mm f4 Canon shots please

I've advertised my 50D on eBay and as a result my Sigma 10-20mm is also going (I have 5D MKII now)

I've done loads of research and narrowed my replacement lens (based on budget) to a Canon 17-40mm f4 L

I carry a 24-70mm f2.8 as my everyday lens and I'm comfortable with my purchase, however the link to 4hero's shots in the 'which lens' shots have gone......

Does anyone else have a 17-40 and can if so, can you please any shots.

I don't have any examples to hand but its a fantastic wide lens for full frame. Unless you need the extra stop of the 16-35 its great for landscapes.

There are some 3rd party FF wide zooms wirth a look but the 17-40L would be on my list for a FF.

Rumoured to be replaced with a 16-40f4IS L this year.

I bought one last November with my 5D Mk 2. I agree there is some distortion but I kind of expected that with a wide angle. I use the LR distortion fixer option on all imports from all lenses and it helps.

Very happy with it, an upgrade from the EF-S 10-22 when I went full frame. Looked at the 16-35 but wrote it off on cost grounds!

That's really nice, is that HDR'd? The grass and sky looks very vivid

Thanks. No HDR as I am personally not a big fan. Just good light, a Lee Filter ND Grad filter plus photoshop curves adjustments
