General advice and feedback please

OK, so I've spent a bit of time with my a55 and a couple of lenses. I'm interested in sports photography, as well as capturing mine and my friends' drunken exploits around Asia. All of these are as the camera saw (so no PS), so I'd appreciate your thoughts on what I could do to get:

Better composition
Better pictures

And what I could be doing in PS to make them better? I've made it an eclectic mix of my favourite shots, but they are the type of pictures I like taking so I'd like feedback (I'll get into arty stuff later)

To be fair, I relinquished control in 1 and 3 (being the model) but I thought the scenery was far more interesting than me!

Maybe try a little high light recovery in processing?

For two of the shots, the colour balance seems a little biased towards a warm yellow. A little colour curve and a tint brushed into the sky makes a difference. Just a suggestion though, not a criticism.

Shooting into the light doesn't help. Try to work with the light and not just the subject. The undercover shots could do with some fill-flash IMHO, but it's a personal thing.

the only pictures that i saw that needed some help to look great were the golf pictures. If you shoot alot of that, it might be worth your time to invest in graduated filters (and a filter holder). otherwise, you can do all/most of your work in photoshop as shown by others.
