That's the competition. You can enter any shot in the comp. whereas the challenge had to be a shot taken that month and with the exif data posted.

Last months challenge was 'Reflections', no one bothered to enter.

ETA : Actually I started a thread as the previous months winner didn't bother, but it wasn't made sticky and got lost alongside everything else.
