Stuck in Gatwick on Thursday, my plane was delayed for..

OK it wasn't delayed at all, but I was snooping round Dixons and spotted a Canon 7D looking rather cheap.

Manager enquires if I'm interested in anything and I mentioned the 7. He says he has one left and will chuck in a 4Gb card in for the price. Not much but better than nothing.

A swift exit and internet browse shows the best on camerapricebuster is still 150 notes more.

I return to the wife, 5 minutes after leaving her, with a Dixons bag and a much cooler pocket.

Loving it so far, the screen is much clearer than my 40D and high ISO is in a different league.

5dMkII was only 1499 too, shame my wallet couldn't stretch that far.

Would love a 5D MK2 but think I may hold out for the MK3 to appear (if it ever does!).

Great leap up from the 40, did you get a battery grip? It finishes off the 7 in my opinion. Enjoy

I had planned to offset the cost by selling on the 40 but that now appears to have been quickly appropriated by the missus. D'oh!

On both. 7d is fantastic, but I'm still after a full frame body!

30mp please! 15 stops would be good, the 1D4 has 15 stops sensor range but stuffed by the adc's

But the 5D2 has 21.1 mp already. Excellent camera, love mine to bits.
