Hello,

At the boat show I bought a Veho Muvi HD video camera, it was the Gumball 3000 special edition one with the suction mount, helmet mount and everything else. I'm happy with the image quality, but the sound quality seems a bit dodgy! It's crackling and almost like white noise at times. This is different to the wind noise which can be heard at speed. The audio seems to crackle even when just filming something handheld and stationary.

What do you reckon? I may send it back for a refund and get a GoPro.

Watch/listen to it here..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_j90rEMsfU

This was filmed from inside the car, roof down, without the waterproof case, so naked. I may well try it again with the case on to see if it eliminates the wind noise. The GoPro is quite a lot more money, so maybe I could just get a little separate audio recorder to run alongside the Veho Muvi for better audio.

Thanks. Oh forgot to say, this is the second one I've had. They swapped the first one at the show for the same reason. This is the first time I've used the replacement. Seems a bit odd they have so many with the same fault.

Also, not really sure what happened to the quality! It looked very sharp when I played it back on my computer or TV at 1080p. I imported the video into iMovie on the Mac, cut a chunk out and then uploaded it directly to Youtube from iMovie and the quality now looks awful! Must be something to do with the iMovie conversion....
