Just bought my first half decent camera - Nikon D3000

Just bought one of these as bubba is due very soon and wanted a half decent camera and my old 30 quid Samsung wasn't quite up to the job.

Paid 300 quid with the standard lens and i know the 3100 is better but with enough spending on the imminent arrival i couldn't justify spending any more.

Anyway i'm looking forward to a learning curve and taking some crap pics lol.

Any tips for a complete newbie very welcome.
