My first (ever) attempt at film photography
Discussion
Having lived most of my life in the digital age I've never had the chance to use a film camera, but having recently acquired use of a Nikon FM I thought I may as well give it go. Although the impracticalities of film make it almost obsolete amongst amateurs, I really enjoyed the feel and quality of using the camera, and with a photo capacity a mere fraction of memory card, and prime lenses (another first for me) you really have to start being disciplined, which I'm sure makes a good photographic exercise - it certainly makes you spend a little longer getting a shot right. Anyway, enough from me; here are my favourites from my first roll of film. Please excuse the grain, the film (not chosen my me) was ISO 800.

I know there are quite a few there but I'd love to hear any C+C on your favourite and least favourite photos, or any more general tips on technique. My favourite photos were portraits, but I have reservations about putting pictures of people on the net without their permission, so I've left them out for now.

Filters are something you'll have to learn (+ buy!) when you do the film photography, especially under artificial lighting (also depending on the type of film you use). It just simple to change WB in digital but it just doesn't work in the same way! It's pretty evident in the Mercedes image. Even a touch of warm-up filter (e.g. 81B) could have improve the park images.
