My Le Mans pics
Discussion
Well, I've finally managed to sort through all the photos from the Le Mans weekend (several hundred....) and thought I'd put up some of them which I think are reasonably good.

The general style is somewhat reminiscent of Gravymaster's pics (which I think are excellent, by the way...)
The pics of the old grandstand and pitbuildings is from the old Reims GP circuit where we stopped on the way home - a very photogenic place!

I liked the green grandstand chairs pic and the Dunlop bridge one is a work of art.
With the Corvette (profile moving) did you use a tripod or mono pod? The depth of field is good (very small) making the contrast between the car and blur perfect.
The car looks very shape, hence my question.

Thanks for the comments guys - much appreciated
I lugged around a monopod for much of the weekend, but I actually ended up shooting mostly handheld. The Corvette was shot (handheld, @200 mm and 1/90s iirc) at the entry to the Ford Chicane so it was possible to get quite close to the track.
I just wish I could get a press pass and stand on the other side of the fencing that's constantly getting in the way and buggering up my shots.....

Ever go to the British GT racing? Not much fencing in the way at the Brit circuits. Only trouble is I get carried away and snap everything! (I'll post some later).
If you are available at the weekend I recommend going to the FIA GTs at Donington. Its a 3 hour race and some great cars. Donington is my favorite viewing circuit. Get on the old train carriage for some great late breaking shots.
I'll be at Donington so let me know if you are going to be there. I'll be wearing a grey PH polo shirt and a fake goatee. Im going up in the Griff.
