Photo Challenge - November 2011 - After Dark
Discussion
The theme this month is After Dark, you can interpret this how you like, the only condition is that the photo has to be taken in the evening after the sun sets.
The rules:
- The shot MUST be taken this month, with the closing date being midnight on the 30th of November
- The exif must be posted with your shot.
- Keep the images posted to a decent size please, 1024px wide max.
- I will choose the winner this month (with the winner choosing the theme for next month, then deciding who should win that months)
- The Challenge for next month should be generic, as not everyone has access to zoom, macro, specialist lenses. It should be shots that everyone is capable of achieving with the bare essentials.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the challenge this month, what with judging the competition and the challenge I've had some tough decisions to make, so following the example of those who've gone before me, I have chosen my top 3...
3rd Place: (this maybe controversial )

Well done all.
Not trying to take the sheen of the results but if the challenge is about taking a photo that fits the theme rather than trawling the archives for older work, surely no-one should submit an image that was taken before the theme was nominated?
Don't take this as any sort of reflection on the standard of images or judging procedures but just wondering if we've now gone full circle here?

Actually Andrew I tend to agree (for what that's worth), can we now stick to talking a photo for the challenge, I'm sure that's what 4hero (God rest his soul ), who started the challenge, would have wanted. Not trying to take the sheen of the results but if the challenge is about taking a photo that fits the theme rather than trawling the archives for older work, surely no-one should submit an image that was taken before the theme was nominated?
