smugmug alternatives

Afternoon,

So I have a smugmug account, which is approx $60 per year. I have been looking at alternatives, not because I am overly annoyed with Smugmug, I just sometimes think it feels a little clunky, the security is a bit all or nothing and there are some other minor niggles.

I was having a quick look at zenfolio and wondered if anyone had an strong opinions (good or bad) or could offer any good alternatives. I don't mind paying but I want flexibility and a nice clean design.

I don't want to build something myself, use jalbum or flickr...

I use Zenfolio and are happy with it, only just started but it is working, orders are coming in, I've seen a couple of the orders their labs have fulfilled and have been impressed with the quality. You can see my site at www.markmullenphotography.co.uk

I've been using Photoshelter for a few years now and have been very happy with their service. The sales side of it is especially good, with quite a few labs set up with them for direct order fulfilment or electronic sales which don't need any interaction. There's 10 main designs which can be tweaked if needed, but the bulk of the site is just entering text into boxes and selecting menu items. I find the plug ins for Lightroom and Wordpress really useful too, there are other plug ins, but I haven't used them.

I can personally highly recommend www.theimagefile.com who I use for my websites including www.leothephotographer.co.uk and all my online sales, image distribution etc.
