Location, location, location

Right chaps (and chapesses), I'm off work tomorrow and Friday and am looking for some inspiration.

I want to get out with the camera but really can't make up my mind where I want to go.

I'm in Lancashire and don't mind travelling for an hour or so to get somewhere so lake district, north yorkshire and so on are all in reach.

I'm open to any suggestions for a decent location(s) to visit and don't mind whether it's for landscapes, wildlife, derelict buildings etc.

The abandoned truck test track in Leyland is quite interesting, Im heading down there myself on the weekend to try out a new filter.

Salford Quays - architecture, street photography & easy access to hot chocolate
Rossendale Panopticon (Halo) - at twilight, bit of a one trick pony.
Ribblehead Viaduct - any chance of a seasonal steamie going through?

The dales around Bolton Abbey are very nice for landscapes, from there you've got Skipton and that area, across to Ilkley and the Cow and Calf Rocks etc.

I’m just back from a full day in the Lakes, so I’ll suggest that. There’s been loads of rain so the water levels are high. So good for water shots. Also Marks suggestion of Bolton Abbey would be good too.
