What slide scanner

As the title says, im looking to buy one to put all my slides and negatives onto my PC. What do you recommrnd?

Having a little film revival recently and starting to look into this myself I purchased an Epson V500, after lots of good mentions. It;s not arrived yet though so I can't comment on it's usage.

Not heard of that one. Was looking at a plustek one. I'll have to compare

Strangely I've been looking at doing this too, so I'll be interested to hear your thoughts and possibly see any results you might care to post up. At the moment I haven't got a clue which scanner to go for, but as I have got thousands of slides and negatives to do, it'll need to be one that is fairly easy to use.

Any comments on the Plustek 7400 would be helpful.

Epson V700 or V750 - bee's knees and can scan up to 10x8 negs.

Twice as much though. Didnt want to spend as much as that. £200 max.

Since asking about the Plustek, I've been been ringing round around a few shops. The general consenses is that it gives a better, sharper pic than the equivalent Epsome but is slower. Could be sales talk...lol.

You could always buy a really good one, do the job then (assuming you're not still shooting slides) sell it.

Thats what I was going to do anyway. Thought £200 would buy me a good one.
