Free Editing Software

Hi,

I Currently use GIMP and its getting a bit limited now, does anyone now of any other software which is slightly more advanced than GIMP?

With my version (2.6) when I try and do black and white edits with it the, gray scale doesn't work, there's certain edits that I have to use photoshop express for and I used to have a lesser vesion on an old desktop whcih was fine then used photoshop when I used to be at school now I'm at college I've had to go back to using GIMP that my be the problem

You say you are at college? Why not bite the bullet and buy the student version of potatoshop? It's the same as the full version.

For basic functions, does your camera not have any manipulation software for your desktop? Olympus have Viewer 2 which is good for whole image touch up's and the like, coupled with GIMP I find it acceptable. That said, I don't do a lot of post processing.

Try the latest build (2.7.5) here... I'm having far more success with it - 2.6 is very long in the tooth now!
