I know it's probably been discussed a thousand times but what sort of file sizes do you get from a DSLR? I've seen information varying from 4 to 18MB.
I realise it depends on quality and size but what is the largest file size for instance.
I'm looking to get a D70 and it seems I may have to invest in a new hard-drive before long!!

Thanks.

My D1X has file sizes up to 17 mb per pic. In JPG fine mode (which is all you'll need for 90% of pics) they are about 2.5 to 3 mb per pic.

The Canon EOS 300D throws out about the same size in fine JPG mode.
