Camera returns with Amazon

I'm not in a position to go camera shop hunting to handle 2 or 3 cameras, so wondered if I bought a couple from Amazon that I can't decide between that I could just send one back?

anyone done this and know the policy please? Will save me ages searching the site no doubt.

If you buy from the internet, you have 7 days (minimum) to change your mind for whatever reason. You will most likely have to pay return postage and obviously keep / return all packaging.

Amazon are very good for returns - 30 days IIRC - but only IF you buy directly from them and not an 'Amazon Seller'. If the latter, it may be as short as 7 days and if 4 of those are in transit you might have a dispute on your hands. That happened to me when I was trying different mice - the seller said 'sorry 7 days is up, too bad'. As it was £50+ I contacted Amazon who must have leaned on them as it was all sorted out after that

Amazon are amazingly good with the returns - I ordered an SSD hard drive, installed it, found out that it wasn't suitable for what I had intended, returned it and the money turned up in my credit card account the day after they received the item - with an extra bit for postage on top.

What did we do before Amazon?! I can't praise them enough.

With local councils ramping up parking charges and business rates, town centres are becoming a lot less welcoming - Amazon can only benefit.
