Can home-printed photos "bloom"?
Discussion
I have a Canon 4900-series A4 printer and I'm having an issue with the pics deteriorating very quickly after I print them.
I know it's not a top of the range job but it should be fine for home printing.
The pics look fine once done but within a couple of days they look like a car that was sprayed and the paint "bloomed" on it.
The ink is genuine Canon and the paper I have at present is Kodak glossy.
The printer is in the office and the air-con is on there for a few hours every day but there is a possibility that the place could get pretty cold overnight.
I'm not having any dampness issues or anything like that with standard office paper in the same environment.
Can any of you suggest any thing that might be causing this to happen and how I might go about preventing it?

I have tried that and some are definitely worse than others.
I actually printed off several copies of the same pic on a few different papers yesterday evening and I'm leaving them to see how they look in a couple of days.
This morning I can see a fairly rapid deterioration in the one printed on the Kodak paper compared to the others.
I got a few sheets of Canon photo paper, a pack of HP paper and a pack of cheap paper from Aldi and the results actually seem best on the Aldi stuff.
