Filters; stack or swap?

I've finally got around to buying a new lens for all my travelling this year (Tamron 18-270mm). Sticking with good practice, I bought a UV filter to live on the lens to protect it. I also bought a circular polariser which is something I've never used before. Is it best to swap the UV and the CPL filters around or am I OK stacking the CPL on top of the UV?

As an aside, although a little noisy when in action, the Vibration Compensation on this lens is outstanding!

Stack the UV filter in your bag and use the CPL when needed

I would but I'm scared of damaging my new lens. Especially since I'm not used to one so long when it's fully extended. I do go to some pretty mucky places. Maybe when I'm more confident with it.

Lens cap?

Swap the filters when you need to use the CPL.
