Any vintage camera experts about?

Was going through the loft of my wifes recently deceased Grandfather at the weekend and found this.





It's a Metz Mecablitz 45 flashgun with battery pack.

Plugged it in but couldn't make the flash go off so either the battery pack or the flash bulb/tube is knackered.

Any ideas of value or the best place to sell it?

Yep, I found that. It seems to be the only one I can find...anywhere!

Maybe I need to find a collector locally. Anyone know of any in the Gloucestershire area?

It looks like the one I sold Beano back in '54.





eBay and start at the least you will accept for it. I really don't think there's any value in it though.
