I know recently a lot of people have been asking what good sub £200 compacts are out there and thought I would give a heads up of an offer I just received by email.

Normal price is £370 but currently down to £200 until Sunday at midnight when it will go back up...worth checking out as it is a fantastic camera for the money!

I used to use RAW on my old Canon Ixus 50 using a firmware hack from CHDK.

There is an alpha version for the Ixus 220 which uses the same DIGIC 4 processor so a hack for the 1100 shouldn't be far behind.
