Pentax Spotmatic II

Arn't somethings difficult, I wanted a black and white negative of my garage door, for reasons I wont go into here.

So I took out my Canon EOS 500 35mm film camera, which I hadnt used for yonks, you guesed it, batteries dead.

So I dusted off the Pentax Spotmatic II with a Super Takumara f1.4 50 mm lense which I bought in Hong Kong in 1969 for £60 and hadnt used for years, of course I knew the Battery would be dead, (cant ever recall replacing it since I bought it), so got out the "Weston Master V", again which I hadn't used for years, and got down to it.

The Pentax is bloody heavy as well, where the black has worn off, looks like brass underneath

Now I have to get the film developed. God to think these days, we point, shoot, and downlad to our PC.

I still have and use my Weston from time to time along with my old flashmeter.

Well he either means a meter that's very "blinging" or a meter that measures flash!

Used to have an S1a. Can't for the life of me remember if it was that or another camera that had a light meter designed with it that sat on top and worked from turning the shutter speed dial, sort of semi-aperture-priority-automatic....Very cool in its day! Probably measured ASA/ISO 6-800. Ah ISO 25!! The yoof of today just don't understand.......

I remember this gear from the 70s when I was a kid. My Dad had two Weston meters, I had an old Exacta RTL1000 SLR. Happy days!

Indeed they dont, wont even mention developing my colour reversal film in the sink, E45 process seems to ring a bell

C41 is colour print

E6 is colour transparency

E45 is moisturing cream

Think your right, it was E6' made some lovely colours in my mums sink though. Had 6 processes (just checked wikipedia).
Only did it just to see how it worked, good results, but bloody hard work.
