Is it worth upgrading a 7D to 5D III ?
Discussion
I currently have a Canon 7D and mainly short a mixture of Landscapes, Travel and Sports. I'm contenplating upgrading to the new 5D Mark III. I've always wanted a full frame sensor, but am I better off staying with the 7D for sports and action?
Any thoughts, experiences or input much appreciated.

Unless you really need the FPS of the 7D (oddly, the 5D3 does seem a fair bit slower vs the 7D than the numbers would suggest), then I'd say the 5D3 would do a fine job - I just got my mine last week and am very happy with it so far. The AF is great, the overall image quality (especially at high ISOs) is fantastic, the handling of the camera feels somehow nicer, and since not on a crop lens like my 24-105 suddenly appear as wide angle for the first time! Having said that, there is certainly not night and day difference between the 2 - you generally have to be zoomed in to part of the picture to really spot any significant quality improvements.
I'm intending to keep my 7D as a backup / second body, where it's extra reach with a long lems and the higher FPS (especially with the increased RAW burst announced in the new V2 firmware) could be useful, but imagine that I will be reaching for the 5D3 in preference for most occasions.

Unless:
You shoot at high ISO
You shoot for maximum subject isolation (fast lenses)
You want some specific lenses on full frame (24tse or something)
The 7D is good enough.
IMO unless you have a real reason the 5d3 is an expensive upgrade that wont get you much , better af, but less reach, lower fps, smaller buffer.
I'mm go for one when they drop in price a bit, i think another 12 months or so.
