Comp entry help

In addition theres a photostory section which this time I will enter, will likely be won by a proper pj with some warzone or famine story but I thought I would enter with a very kiwi story about the opening weekend trout fishing season - needs to be 4-6 shots(thoughts?).

On the Landscapes I'd go with 1,2,3,4 & 7

On the Story... can you get in a little tighter on the bloke fishing? He's a bit lost.

Great set, I'd agree with the above and drop 5 & 6 but 7 looks like it needs the distortion correcting which can be enough to put some judges off

Thanks! I agree, tighter crop on that I will snip something off the left/right and top.

Cheers, looks like 5 & 6 arnt the popular choice.. I know about the perspective distortion on the pier, not sure I can fix it within the rules of the comp tho.

6 would be good if it had a chunk more foreground. I think you were trying to get the sun in the middle but to me the light on the foreground flora is the best bit.

Hmm there wasnt too much more foreground fauna, it turns into grass not much past what you can see. I could recrop, its a huge image ( multiple 5d2 stitch).

Landscapes: 1, 3, 4, 5, and 7 for me. 6 is amazing but composition wise I've always thought it to be a bit too 'neat' without going all art history / rule of thirds on you
