After 8 years of owning a DSLR I finally admit that I'm not a great photographer. Reading the manual and playing about with camera settings can only get you so far and I've reached the point where I need to learn from someone else.

I've got a Canon 60D with Canon 17-40mm and 100-400mm lenses which along with some skill should enable me to get some great images. However, most of my photos, particularly my attempts at landscape photography, are uninspiring, especially when trying to use my polarising filter.

Can anybody recommend a decent book that covers everything from settings to picture composition to digital editing please?

Thanks

I'd recommend Understand Exposure to anyone wanting to learn about photography. It is a great book for explaining the various camera settings and has some great examples.
