Why would you particularly want to use the alternative he suggests? You may as well throw the net wide and start again - you have 5 weeks and December isn't a busy month for weddings.
This. You gave him a chance and he blew it, who says the replacement isn't going to be just as useless?.. Unless he's giving you mega £££ back for messing you around!

I'm in Portsmouth. Weddings are not my field so I won't volunteer but I know many of the locals- and their reputations. Given your limited time for shortlisting, feel free to PM if you think I can help Also its in Portsmouth.
Thanks ADV

can I ask what the photographer was going to charge you?
i fancy a bash at weddings after having had 3 of the kids get wed last year, they paid between £500 and £250, the £500 got them 40 pictures (and that was mates rates...) by a bloke doing 2 events the same day, the £250 was a student in her last year who put the line up half in the shade/half in the sun...
id need a better camera though methinks

Hope he had a genuine reason for letting you down. I recently heard of a wannabe wedding photographer who just one week before the wedding was trying to pass on a booking via Twitter. A friend replied to her and it turns out she'd taken the booking too cheap, didn't own any pro gear and had then found out that it would cost her more than the booking fee just to hire the gear she needed. Don't know if she ever found a replacement tog to take that one...

And were the couple going to insist she do it anyway? Good job for their sake she bailed IMHO.Gassing Station | Photography & Video | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
