Hi, I'm going to this in Glasgow tonight, does anyone know if cameras are allowed inside the Velodrome?

There's nothing on the ticket nor the website but been caught out with this before - having to traipse back to the car to dump the camera.

much appreciated,
thanks

thanks - would you say the lighting good enough for reasonable shutter speeds?

I'll have an 80-200 f2.8 handheld as up in the main seating.

All the above were taken with a 100-400mm on an EOS 7D, have used a 70-200mm f2.8 in the past, you should have no problems. Most of mine were shot at ISO3200 then PP'd in Lightroom where I sometimes tweeked the luminance and colour noise correction up a bit.

The colour balance can be a little problematical with the amount of yellow wood and artificial light, nothing a quick PP won't fix though.

^^^ thanks londonagent!

All shot from public areas. At Manchester you can get into the centre via the public tunnel and can shoot from the inner railing. So close I was using a 12-24mm for some of the shots!

Only rule seemed to be no to hang over the railings without a neck strap on, a very refreshing attitude!

Great evening and top class set-up.

Stayed in the seat for all but one race so limited on what I could take, a few photos...

Good effort! I fancy trying that myself. Haven't taken many photos for a while, mainly due to the weather up here, so something indoors is probably the answer! I'd have gone to it if I hadn't mixed the dates up. Definitely going at 2014.
