Wedding Albums - Printed ones

So, we got married a couple of months ago.

Our Photographer is providing us with a couple of printed albums which are of a very high standard.

We wish to have a few more for Grandparents but additional copies are prohibitive.

Does anyone on PH do this kind of thing or can anyone put me in contact with a provider who can do a decent job of this?

Good question however we have been given all the photographs - over 3000 to use as we wish - those were his words and we did pay him for the privilege of taking our photos.

We will not be selling or distributing them to the general public and these copy albums will be left in the confines of two 80 somethings houses.

Surely posting them on Facebook and the Interweb would pose more of a threat to copyright?

If you have the full size original images (I think 3,000 of them would be on about 5 or 6 DVDs) and permission from the photographer to reprint, then there's no reason why you couldn't put together an album yourself. There are plenty of suppliers out there who do this sort of thing, e.g. https://loxleycolour.com/architect.aspx

If you are on a tighter budget, then a simple photobook from the likes of Photo Box might be more suited: http://www.photobox.co.uk/shop/photo-books#p=a4-pe...

Is there anything in the contract you have with him about image use? That's where I put the license to allow any non commercial use of the images by my wedding clients. Without that licence, anyone designing an album for you could technically be in breach of copyright.

Blurb is another good DIY option if you're happy with a coffee book type album.

But... 3,000 photos over the average 8-hour wedding is about one every 10 seconds. Jeepers
