December 2012 Photo Challenge DISCUSSION thread

Thread for discussing entries for this months challenge.
In an attempt to get some interest back in the Challenge threads, I have set an easy theme that is quite fitting with the time of year. The topic for this month is COLD. With the frosty mornings at the moment, there's no excuse to not get out and enter a photo! Of course, all interpretations of the theme are welcome, i.e. someone looking cold, or a photo with a particularaly cold color scheme to it, etc. Let your imagination go wild!
Remember, this is the 'Challenge', so shots must be taken in December and specifically for the challenge.
As usual, the rules:
The photos taken must be your own work
The shot MUST be taken this month, with the closing date being midnight on the last day of the Challenge month
The exif must be posted with your shot
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
The Challenge for next month should be generic, as not everyone has access to zoom, macro, specialist lenses. It should be shots that everyone is capable of achieving with the bare essentials.
There will be two threads that need starting: The Entries thread to commence same time as Discussion thread. In the Entries thread only one picture should be entered. Any others you wish to discuss should be posted in the Discussion thread.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo. Some people still have black and white tellies, and use these stupid 3G phone things for browsing the interweb. Links to larger versions are permissible.

Well we have one entry so far... come on people, lets see some more. I'm seeing lots of suitable photos in the Random Photos thread, so hopefully some of them will find their way into the challenge before the month is out!
And for those of you in warmer climes, get photographing your fridge, a nice cold beer on a hot day or something!
