Image Rights Protection. The 'Mo-Bot' Law.

More laws are coming that may affect pro photographers. Anyone who thinks they have an 'image' that is unique can now registar it as their own. So that a shot of a celeb/sportstar's "thing" (the Mo-bot or Vettel's one finger) may be called into question as to whether the photo is generating income without the subject gaining from it.

This is a really complex area in law and wondering what you think about it?

Other than than, clearly this is a nonsense if it does come to pass. How the hell it would be policed I have NO idea.

Self policing I would have thought.

The 'stars' or wannabees register their likenesses and mannerisms and people stop using their images for anything.

Simple, effective and in my opinion very welcome in these days of tripled Z rated "celebrity".

I could welcome this if handled the right way.
