Flickr....pro free for 3 months

I've taken the 3 months offer. I like Flickr. The only real alternative would be to set up a website and host images on that and I know that could be done for similar money. I like the group set up on Flickr though where you can search for images taken with specific equipt which is helpful if you're thinking of buying something new. Plus the social side of it. I've learned a lot from some of the contacts I have on there.

To be fair yes that has happened, but Marissa Mayer (Yahoo CEO as of a couple of months ago) has made it clear several times that Flickr is a priority. There have been several updates to the site (the first for years) and new iOS apps ( they are still lagging with the android version though). k all, let it decline, implement feckless attempt at retaining paying users. FFS. As someone said they are trying to profit from the instagram cock up, if they continue to try and integrate facebook with instagram I think it will turn more people off too.

Not sure I agree they are trying to capitalise on the Instagram thing - Flickr is (was?) almost the antithesis of Instagram - a sharing / social site for keen and capable photographers whereas Instagram is... not!As someone said they are trying to profit from the instagram cock up, if they continue to try and integrate facebook with instagram I think it will turn more people off too.
