Just got given one of these:

Brand spanking new, 1.5m underwater digitial camera with an 8mb memory stick.

Can hold 12 photos, or take a 15 second movie.

Why ?

so you can take underwater pictures of peoples pants down the local pool.

1.5m I mean really is it worth it..? Ok I know there is plenty of good stuff to see at that depth if one is out with a snorkle but really...

That's still better than 1280 x 1024 - fine for most purposes.

Thats not 1.5mp, it's waterproof to 1.5m

It could be used in situations where it might get splashed such as Canoeing rather than taking it swimming...

DOH! This is a photography forum not a swimming forum; you can understand my confusion Plus 1.5m is exactly 1.5m too deep for me; I breathe air

I'll have it if you don't want it. It'll be great to take out sailing!
