1st motorsport pic attempts
Discussion
Decided to get myself up to Knockhill on a wet and blustery Saturday morning for the Grant Construction Rally event.First visit to a rally event and first attempt at some "motorsport" photography.
Really looking to improve my photography this year and I realise the only way to do this is to brace myself for all criticisms and comments so fire away!
Thanks and Happy New Year!

A couple of nice pics there.
Only things to mention would be that the colour balance and levels needs adjusting to the majority. First 2 have a purple tint over them which is easily corrected.
Only other criticism is that every pic has clutter in the background which ruins the pic. Not your fault but still doesnt make them so pleasing to the eye. The Evo shot side on would be really nice if it didnt have that digger in the background and people in high vis looking bored
Other than that, some are too closely cropped for my liking.
Bellow is my fave of the bunch. I hope you don't mind but I had a quick play in Photoshop with it...

Good first attempt, I have been photographing for just over a year and started at a similar standard so dont panic, practice makes near perfect, just go out take 1000's of pictures, play with all the settings, look at the backgrounds, change the shutter speeds etc, looking at the conditions on the day you gave yourself a bit of a challenge to start with - wet damp poor light etc.
Keep at it and look at other peoples work - think about what they did differently - height of the shot etc - most people shoot stood up - try being lower down ( Caution on rally stages !!)
What camera are you using ?
