I'm looking at getting a canon 650d and on hunting the net Wex Photographic seems to be one of the best deals, should I have any concerns?

I was looking at SLRHut and Procamera Shop but there are a lot of bad reviews on these companies and also not guaranteed a UK product.

Any other suggestions? With Canon cashback and quidco I can get the 650d with 18-55mm lens for £489

Used to be http://www.warehouseexpress.com , they are a pretty big retailer - iirc number of people on here used them, don't remember any negative stories.

UK retailer selling UK-only stock with a phone number on their site - I'd not be worried about using them

Used Warehouse Express (wex) lots of times always with great service. Highly recommended.

On no account mix them up and order from WAE+ by accident. That would be a mistake!

Brilliant, thanks and I will triple check the address just as I press submit to ensure it is WEX I'm ordering from. Can't wait to get shooting some pics, have the guide to exposure book what more do I need?

I've a few cards from my Panasonic lumix which I think are the same type. Guess I just need to get out shooting and take it from there.

Fair bit of personal preference really....

How much kit are you carrying?
Is it for walking about on holiday or for a day's hike up a hill?
Prefer a rucksack or single shoulder? (watch the weight on single shoulder bags)

I'd look at LowePro, ThinkTank, Domke, Crumpler (more 'modern' styling)...

If you use Quidco you can get 3% cashback on WEX too.

I've ordered from them before without issue. WAE+ should be avoided though unless you like waiting 3 weeks for free delivery, which is quite ridiculous for a website delivery time.

Wex are very good, I order a lot of stuff for them and write for their blog occasionally.

Have never used WEX but have had a great time with digitalrev . They have great prices too! It's all based in HK but they do factor in Import duties and things. Got my NEX-6 + 2 lenses for the same price as Sony wanted for the body alone. As for speed of shipping? Well I bought a Sony E-Mount 35mm f1.8 on the 28th of December and I had it in my hands on the 31st. I mean basically that's next day delivery. From HK.

have spent many £k at ware house express/wex over last 7 years - never had an issue that wasn't quickly dealt with (a couple of stock issues)

Another vote for WEX - no quibble with a new body that had focus issues, and a head office if you need to visit.

I think WEX fill the same role now as Jessops did in the 70s/80s.

WEX are a great retailer - great customer service and fairly decent prices.

My only gripe with Wex was that no one from the company called or emailed to tell me they'd given me a refund for a broken camera

Very good company who I tend to buy the majority of my kit from.
