If it is a new camera, go through the software update procedure from the GP website and this will setup the camera. During this, give it a new name and new password. Maybe the 'default' isn't what it says it is.
Not a new camera so had already been set up, and obviously the password had been changed from the default. Ran through the update process and reset it. Working fine now but there's a 5 second lag on wifi, is this normal?Synchromesh said:

5 second lag on the preview screen? - mine is also about that i reckon. (3 - 5 i'd guess without timing it)i get frustrated when its connected to wifi but wont display the preview on the app.. took me 15 mins to view it the other day (turning it off/on a couple times. resetting the wifi).. only to find the camera was angled fine anyway!.. i'll just guesstimate its position next time im having preview issues as it seems you cant really go wrong

The Hero 3 was quite laggy on wifi. Around 4 secs. The Hero 3+ is alot better but still has about 1 sec of lag. Some mobiles/tablets are better than others too. The iPhone4 makes it even worse.Gassing Station | Photography & Video | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
