Landscapes in dull weather?

Any tips on shooting seascapes in dull (grey & boring) weather?

I tried post processing some shots to try and introduce a 'moody' element, but there was seemingly nothing to work with.

if you shot in RAW you could resort to.......hdr. one stop down and one stop up can often bring out even grey clouds. stuff it into b/w and never tell a soul you used hdr.

If there's no sky interest to begin with either create one with grads or PS, or accept and work with it to change what you're shooting. Those minimalist pics posted are stunning btw

In dull weather I either...

1. Dont go out
2. Go somewhere where the sky and lack of light doesn't matter so much... in woodland for example the soft light and lack of contrast is a positive
3. Do Long exposures/shoot details/scout locations if Im already out at the coast

Yep, Black & White is your best bet I reckon... the colour version of the below looks dreadful...
