February monthly photo comp - PURE FILTH - Discussion thread

No, I don't mean your favourite piccy from the smut folder on your hard drive!
After seeing earlier that I'd won the January photo comp I'd been racking my brains all afternoon to come up with a suitable topic when I popped into the bathroom for a quick wash and Bingo! This month's subject was staring me right in the face.
For those that don't know me, I'm on a bit of an extended bike trip at the moment so don't always have the luxury of a shower each day or even a wash if I'm camping and right now I'm in China which has by far the dirtiest air of any country I've cycled through so each day I look like I've just finished the Mille Miglia. Looking at myself in the mirror earlier I thought this would make an interesting subject for this month's comp so post up your pictures of pure filth, whether it be a rally car spraying mud everywhere, your son after finishing a game of rugby, whatever takes your fancy really.

Monthly Photography Competition Rules:
The photos taken must be your own work.
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
There will be two threads that need starting: The Entries thread to commence same time as Discussion thread. In the Entries thread only one picture should be entered. Any others you wish to discuss should be posted in the Discussion thread.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo due to the PH squash factor. Links to larger versions are permissible.
Not essential but feel free to include any EXIF info on the shot.
