Canon 650d or 60d?

I went through exactly the same process just before Christmas. I went for the 60D in the end - the extra buffer size was the key thing for me (I like to take bad photos of wildlife and I found the buffer on the 1000D incredibly frustrating) - the weather sealing was also pretty good (not that I'd want to try it out in a proper downpour) but knowing that it'd be happy in a bit of drizzle is quite comforting.
On an unrelated note I'm now undecided whether to sell the 1000D or keep it just in case...

I got it as a package with the 18-135mm lens.
Going through the same dilemma, I watched this video.
It's interesting but could make your decision more difficult.

There are lots of little benefits to the 60D - Pentaprism (i.e. brighter) viewfinder, Top LCD, extra control wheel, etc. They might not be headline features but added up they should make it a lot nicer to use.
Another to add to the comparison is the 600D. If aren't fussed by the touchscreen of the 650 then there are a few bargains to be had.

It surprised me how useful this is... definitely worth getting the 60d for this. Plus when I looked there wasn't a big difference in price.Phunk said:

It's a low power (i.e. calculator style) LCD constantly on displaying the cameras vital information (settings, shots remaining, battery, etc). It's in a more convenient location rather than having to tilt the camera down between shots and makes it easier to quickly adjust settings, especially in addition to the extra physical controls.
I was in this position, went 60D. Extra control wheel is a definite plus for me, and the pentaprism is good.
DxOMark puts the 60D a little above the 650D for image quality (interesting the 600D is also slightly better than the 650D, almost as good as the 60D). But you'd probably not see much difference in real world shooting.
