Well the IS and USM are nothing to do with Fitments,
You can fit EF-S as they are designed for cropped sensors,
you can fit EF lenses but will not get the full range (e.g 17mm would actually be approx 27.2mm due to 1.6x sensor)
Older lenses as long as they are EF fitting then yes you can fit them!

Focal length is a property of the lens and doesn't ever change no matter what body it's mounted on or even if it's left in the box. A 50mm is always 50mm. The amount of the projected image covered by the sensor reduces on a crop body to simulate the angle of view of a longer lens (80mm in the case of a 1.6 crop).you can fit EF lenses but will not get the full range (e.g 17mm would actually be approx 27.2mm due to 1.6x sensor)
This is the same for both EF and EF-S lenses. The main differences with EF-S is that they are a more compact design and built in focal lengths more appropriate to crop bodies.

Bought quite a few items through that route over the years. No complaints at all. One warranty claim for an Ixus (used by daughter). Fixed in a few days by a service agent. If you buy don't expect a lot of communication. My last buy was last summer. The 600D turned up earlier than I expected.

That's true if you've got a crop body.If you've got a FF body, the main difference is that EF-S lenses won't fit! I believe they're too deep, and can foul the mirror, or shutter, or some such?
As for the OP, if you were happy with the 600D at £395, why are you undecided at £380? If it's because it's a refurb, don't worry about that. You won't be able to tell, and it still has a 12 month warranty on it.
