Scanners for film

Does anyone have any recommendation for [or use] scanners to transfer negs and slides onto digital?

I got good results with a dedicated slide scanner. It was a black widow but this was ages ago and I sold it when I'd done. There are various devices that claim to scan slides using a regular scanner but they were all pants.

The Konica Minolta DIMAGE range were all excellent, I kept the last one, a 5400II, so if you can find one.
